The windward side of the island proved to be a glorious place to hold a bird club meeting on yet another holiday Sunday. Holidays or not, our members persevered Google directions to find the new site and had a delightful time.
Myana and Toby did not disappoint. Toby has presented Myana with new challenges during the year since we last saw them “show us their stuff” at the July 2006 AHPA meeting. Parrots wrote the book on pushing the envelope.
Once Toby realized she had an audience, she strutted her tricks with the style only a blue and gold can conjure. She turned around on cue, played basket ball, put money in the (piggy) bank and did some hoop tricks. As if this was not enough, Toby also decided a grand finale was in order.
Thanks again to Myana and Toby. They are a joy to watch share their trust building and tricks.
Respectfully submitted,
Makena
