The meeting opened with Elizabeth welcoming everyone. She handed out a tentative meeting schedule for the year. John and Susan Matejko will host the Christmas Party at their house on December 9th.
The meeting was turned over to Scott Eastman. Scott gave a presentation on Responsible Parrot Breeding and Cage Size Requirements. He talked about his long term goals for breeding. Scott explained that you should not get into the business of breeding parrots for the money. Smaller parrots like love birds and budges are easier to breed vs. the larger species. Scott brought and explained different breeding boxes for different species. He also brought a breeding cage and reviewed the materials and sizes for different species. The members asked Scott questions. Scott’s factual, upbeat, and realistic presentation gave the members a “bird’s eye” view into the world of parrot breeding.
Respectfully submitted,
Makena
