Small fee applies for food costs. Each member will leave with multiple types of foods for you parrot. Fee paid will be equivalent to food received.
Parrot foods can be frozen in ice cubes trays for single servings and then packaged in Ziplocs and traded so everyone gets a variety of healthy new bird safe foods.

Topic: March 9- Captive Foraging- A video presentation, product demonstration and roundtable discussion on this new trend for our captive birds. Based on the model of the natural foraging instinct of all animals, author and videographer Dr. Scott Echols introduces the concept of including a foraging tree in a bird's enclosure for environmental enrichment. The 30-minute video describes how a foraging tree can potentially reduce the incidence of unwanted behaviors in captive birds. Also included are step-by-step directions on how to use a foraging tree as well as safe foraging toys for birds.

We are very pleased to announce that internationally renowned Parrot Expert and Writer EB Cravens will be speaking.
A science writer by training, EB was for years a regular contributor for AFA’s Watchbird Magazine and the Companion Parrot Quarterly. EB currently writes a monthly column entitled “The Complete Psittacine” in PARROTS Magazine out of England; and another, “The Hookbill Hobbyist” down under in the well-regarded Australian Birdkeeper. His monthly series of articles “Birdkeeping Naturally,” is sent out to bird clubs and individuals around the U.S., and is now finishing up its tenth year of publication.

Because of the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl, the parrot club will meeting on February 19, 2006, beginning 12:00 noon, at the third tree from the road on the Ewa side of Neal Blaisdell Park in Pearl City.
It should be a good program. Topics to be discussed include Training, Diet and Behavior. If you want to have your birds' wings, nails or beak clipped, bring your bird and if you have scissors and nail clippers bring them.
Anyone interested in Parrots and other tame birds, you are invited to the meeting, with or without your bird(s).

Sunday, April 3, 2005 Pot Luck and monthly meeting (canceled)
Due to family difficulties I have found that I can no longer be your President, as of today I have to resign. This comes at a very hard time for me and my family needs me now. I have spoken to a few of the members Lisa, Jane and Dianna they were kind enough to understand my situation and are going to keep the meetings going. .
As for the April meeting there will be none, but for those of you interested in helping at the Pet Expo in May please contact Lisa she will be running it. Again sorry but I have no choice but to resign at this point, please feel free to contact Rob or Lisa.

Hi and Aloha,
Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Holidays. As February approaches for our next meeting it just happened to land on Super Bowl Sunday, I know that wouldn't effect our meeting but just in case I decided to have the meeting a week earlier this Sunday January 30th at my home 12 noon. Now the other reason for this change is one of our members are leaving for the Mainland so along with out meeting I would like to incorporate their going away, we will be sad to see them go. So for those of you who made need my address again please feel free to call me at 236-1133 and I will be more than happy to give you directions.
So for our meeting please bring your chairs your bird if you would like to and a covered dish for our potluck the topic this meeting will be diet and nutrition.

Aloha Everyone,
Wow have we had rain or what, sorry about the miscomunication of the cancelation of the last meeting, I thought everyone's e-mail was up to date, please forgive me if any of you were put out.
The next meeting will be our Christmas party, I didn't want to take any chances of the rain so I decided to have it at our house, I sent out the invitation with the address on it to get to my house if you have any questions please feel free to call. 236-1133.
The menu will be as follows.
The club wil provide the main dish I thought we would do ham, noodles, rice, and drinks, if anyone would like to make something that would be great, just let me know.
The party will be on Dec 5th from 12:00-3:00, as I stated on the invitation, please bring your chairs and a bird, if you cannot make it I understand. I decided not to go with the restaurant or to charge any one for the party. Hope to see there.
